Touring or travelling; renting or relaxing?

From overseas travel to exotic destinations and holidays in the Mediterranean, to Holiday Home Insurance and cover for your Caravan, we can help.

Different from other insurance brokers? How?

Whether you’re going on a family beach holiday, a cultural trip to a European city, travelling to the US, or adventuring in Australia and Asia, our team of insurance experts can align cover to your travel plans by searching the market for an appropriate insurance policy and carefully reviewing policy details, coverage limits and exclusions.

If you have a pre-existing medical condition we will search our travel insurance providers and do our very best to provide you with the most appropriate travel insurance for you.

Medical Emergencies

If you’re visiting the US and need emergency medical treatment, an ambulance usually costs £350 – £1,000, an air ambulance could cost over £180,000, and A&E (known as Emergency Room (ER) in the US) can cost anything between £100 to over £18,000.1 If you’re travelling in Europe, you can use your EHIC in state healthcare facilities but if you need some types of specialised medical treatment or wish to stay in a private hospital, travel insurance can be a financial safety net if you don’t have the funds to pay for private healthcare yourself.

If you sustain an injury or become ill, travel insurance can cover the cost of:

  • Emergency medical treatment
  • Hospital stays
  • Transport to hospital or medical clinics
  • GP consultations

Cancellations, Delays and Interruptions

Aeroplane and rail travel are increasingly subject to delays and cancellations due to changed plans or unforeseen events such as adverse weather, natural disasters, and airline or airport issues. Our team can help you with Travel Insurance that could recover the costs of non-refundable bookings, such as flights and accommodation, allowing you to reschedule or be reimbursed for your lost expenses.

Lost, Stolen or Delayed Luggage

Losing luggage, whether it’s through theft and delays, or temporary loss is stressful and inconvenient. Travel insurance can provide cover that pays for the replacement of essential items if your luggage has ended up at the wrong destination. If items are permanently lost, insurance can also cover the cost of replacing them.

Holiday Let Insurance

If you own a Holiday Home for either personal use or for paying and non-paying guests, we can search the market for a policy that fits you.
Holiday Homes can be more vulnerable to damage and theft because they’re often left unoccupied for longer periods of time compared to main residence properties.

We can provide Holiday Home Insurance that could offer cover for:

  • Escape of water
  • Accidents on the premises.
  • Damage and destruction of buildings and contents (fire, flooding, subsidence).
  • Theft of contents (an empty property can be a target for burglars, and moveable objects could disappear when you have guests).

Lloyd & Whyte’s Community Broking insurance team are experts in sourcing Holiday Home Insurance that you can rely on. Peace of mind is priceless; talk to us today.

Caravan Insurance

Caravans are either towed by a vehicle (Touring Caravans) or are a permanent, fixed structure (Static Caravan). While it isn’t a legal requirement to get either type of caravan insured, we recommend you do, as caravans of both types can be prone to damage, accidents and theft. Our team can advise on and help you get appropriate cover for the type of touring you do.

Whether you tow or stow, Caravan Insurance can cover for:

  • Theft
  • Accidents on the road
  • External and Internal damage
  • Third Party Liability
