In February this year, local insurance brokers, Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking took part in and sponsored the two-day Swimathon in support of Taunton Round Table, an organisation which supports charities and individuals in Taunton and surrounding areas by running events on an annual basis to help raise funds for the community.
Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking swam as a team for one hour at Taunton School on 14th February, raising funds for Taunton Women’s Aid – supporting adults and children affected from domestic violence; Love Musgrove (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit); and Somerset Counselling Centre – which provides a safe space to talk to a skilled counsellor.
Gemma Mather and her son, Olivia Pyke, Matt Still, Richard Spencer, and John Foster from Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking all took part in the Swimathon, raising £500 for Round Table which was then fund-matched by the Benefact Group (Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking’s parent company) to make a grand total of £1,000.
