At Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Exeter, community spirit and charitable giving are at the heart of everything we do. This October, our team proudly took part in one of the UK’s most beloved fundraising events – the Macmillan Coffee Morning fundraising campaign – to help raise money for Macmillan Cancer Care and support those affected by cancer.
Brewing up support for a great cause
We gathered at the office for a morning filled with cake, laughter, and generosity. Colleagues donated homemade cakes, bottles of wine, and even a bottle of rum to add some extra excitement to the event. Alongside the refreshments, a fun “Colin the Caterpillar” game brought out everyone’s competitive side; all in the name of raising vital funds for charity.
By the end of the event, the team raised an impressive £133 through donations and activities. This amount was then match funded by the Benefact Group, further amplifying the team’s efforts. The Benefact Group charity support programme plays a key role in helping organisations like ours contribute more to meaningful causes. Being part of a group that shares our passion for community giving allows us to make an even greater impact together.
