The team at Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Exeter laced up their walking boots and took to the trails this May for a fantastic cause. In true community spirit, a group of enthusiastic walkers from our Exeter office joined together for the “Big Walk,” a 10-mile charity trek that combined scenic beauty, teamwork, and fundraising in equal measure.
The event followed a circular route around Exeter and along the River Exe Valley, offering our people a wonderful opportunity to explore the local landscape while raising money for a meaningful cause. Starting and finishing at the Exeter Chiefs Stadium, Sandy Park, the group enjoyed a fun-filled day under blue skies, with plenty of laughter, camaraderie, and encouragement along the way.
Walking for a worthy cause
The Big Walk wasn’t just about getting out in the fresh air, it was about making a real difference. Through sponsorships and generous donations, the Lloyd & Whyte team raised an impressive £1,115, with additional match funding from the Benefact Group, bringing even greater impact to their efforts. The funds raised will go directly to the Exeter Chiefs Foundation, a local charity that is deeply committed to supporting people and initiatives within the community.

Since its inception, the Foundation has supported a wide range of charities and community projects, helping to create lasting, positive change across Exeter and beyond.
