Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking raises £10,000 for the Joseph’s Smile Wales vs Europe Charity Football Match

On 30th May, insurance brokers, Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Swansea, got involved with sponsorship for the charity Joseph’s Smile’s hosting of a high-profile charity football match: Wales vs Europe. The exciting showdown was held at Swansea City Football Club to raise funds for the work Joseph’s Smile carries out for children with cancer.

Football stars battled it out on the Swansea football pitch, watched by spectators whose tickets raised valuable funds for the charity Joseph’s Smile. Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Swansea were the main shirt sponsors for team Europe.

The Wales v Europe Charity Match at the Swansea.com Stadium was a resounding success, drawing in thousands of supporters and significantly amplifying the Kids Get Cancer Too message. Thanks to the generous fund-matching by the broker’s parent company, the Benefact Group, Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Swansea raised £5,000. The broker’s hands-on volunteer support – from helping run the raffle to leading the bucket collection – also played a vital part in raising an additional £5,000, contributing £10,000 to the total £22,000 raised. Part of these funds will be donated to local childhood cancer charities who were all present on the day, ensuring the impact reaches even more families across Wales. Funds raised also enabled Joseph’s Smile to give children and families affected by cancer a truly memorable experience at the match.

The remaining funds for Joseph’s Smile will directly support our core programmes:

  • Providing essential treatment support and equipment not available on the NHS
  • Expanding the Wiggly Vest programme
  • Strengthening their childhood cancer research and awareness work
