In partnership with Faith in Families and The National Autistic Society, Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking, Swansea transformed their office into a festive grotto for local families, spreading cheer and making memories. Thanks to the generosity and support of our community, volunteers, families, and local businesses, the event truly captured the spirit of the season.
Chris Mills said “We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who turned up, brought their families, and came to the Grotto. We all enjoyed the opportunity to become “elves” for the day and seeing Santa was a bonus. Each smile, each donation, each act of kindness played a part. A special note of gratitude goes to the team at JM Entertainment (James Murphy and his team, who hired out inflatables) and AMMCOM LIMITED (Andrew Maunder, electrical and optical fibre installations) for the incredible transformation of our workspace into a magical grotto – their time and expertise brought the enchantment to life and added so much joy to the community.
We are also hugely grateful to Chris Sampson, The Perch, Swansea, A D Scaffolding, Amazon, H‑Pack Packaging UK LTD and Judith Mills & 2B Enterprising for their generous contributions which helped make the whole event even more memorable.
Supporting Local Families & Charities
Both Faith in Families and The National Autistic Society are deeply rooted in the support of local communities, and our collaboration reflects our commitment as Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Swansea to make a difference close to home.
Faith in Families, working across the Swansea & Brecon area, has long offered vital services such as parent & toddler groups, 1-to-1 child therapy, home support and outreach work for children, young people and families experiencing poverty, trauma and crisis. Their vision is to release the potential in every family and lift communities together.
The National Autistic Society, meanwhile, serves more than 700,000 autistic people in the UK and their families. They provide expert advice, support services, training, and campaigning to create a society that works for autistic people. Our event reflects these values by bringing families together and supporting inclusion, connection and community spirit.
The Role of Benefact match funding
Our efforts were boosted through the support of Benefact Group’s match-funding scheme — meaning that every pound raised and every contribution made by our community was doubled. This match-funding approach amplifies our impact, allowing Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Swansea to maximise support for the charities we care about and the families they serve.
