We’re committed to making a positive impact in our local communities and giving back in Taunton; here’s what our Taunton team have been up to…
In June 2025, Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Taunton marked this year’s Founder’s Day with a heartfelt celebration dedicated to giving back to the community we support. Lloyd & Whyte Founder’s Day is held in memory of Lloyd & Whyte Founder, Mervyn Pyke.
On this day, offices across the Lloyd & Whyte Group celebrate what was important to him: giving to charities and supporting others.
This June 2025 event, held at our Taunton office, brought together our people, clients, and local charity partners in a day full of gratitude, and purpose. Our focus this year was on St Margaret’s Hospice Care fundraising. The community-funded charity provides end-of-life and palliative hospice care through a holistic and compassionate approach and is a vital source of support for patients and their families.
This charity event highlighted our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, with our strong community ethos continuing to shine through initiatives that make a meaningful difference to local lives. By supporting causes such as St Margaret’s Hospice, we demonstrate how businesses can lead with compassion, and inspire others to do the same.
Our people from the Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Taunton office organised activities and fundraising challenges, from axe throwing and basketball to pulled pork baps and ice cream.
The Somerset hospice fundraising efforts not only raised essential funds but also strengthened community connections.
Through this year’s celebration, Lloyd & Whyte reaffirmed its belief that success is best measured by impact. Founder’s Day 2025 wasn’t just a company milestone — it was a testament to community support for St Margaret’s Hospice, showing how collective goodwill can bring hope and comfort to those who need it most.
