At Lloyd & Whyte Community Broking Tiverton, we’re passionate about supporting our local communities and helping meaningful causes thrive. Our Regional Director – South West, Gemma Mather, recently joined forces with the 1st Wellington Scout Group for a sponsored half-marathon walk of 13.1 miles along the beautiful Grand Western Canal.
The event brought together community spirit, determination, and a shared goal of raising vital funds to support young people, with over 50 people, some as young as just 6 years old, taking part. We’re incredibly proud to announce that the team’s fundraising efforts have raised a fantastic £3,801!
These funds will go towards purchasing a much-needed new minibus, helping the Scout Group continue to provide opportunities for adventure, learning, and personal growth. The funds will also support a range of exciting future activities for the group, ensuring local children and young people can keep exploring, discovering, and developing new skills.

“As a result, the group can proudly announce that the fundraising total is a staggering £3,801!
“The money raised will be used to support future activities and will also be put towards our urgent need for a new minibus.
