Celebrating our rebrand
Open Day Event
We had a brilliant evening celebrating our change of name by welcoming guests into our office to learn more about our purpose and vision.
We continued the evening networking with our guests, whilst enjoying food provided by Fresha Exeter.

These Boots Were Made for
Walking and Fundraising!
In May, a group of keen walkers undertook a 10 mile ‘Big Walk’ following a circular route around Exeter and along the River Exe Valley, starting from and ending up at Exeter Chiefs Stadium, Sandy Park. Once there, they enjoyed a pasty and pint on what was a lovely sunny Saturday.
They raised £1,115, excluding match funding by the Benefact Group, for the Exeter Chiefs Foundation.
The Exeter Chiefs Foundation which is a fund-raising organisation committed to improving the prosperity of the communities they are in, by making donations that make people’s lives better. The Foundation, which was set up in 2011, is a charity that exists with the sole aim of helping other charities to assist and enhance the lives of the local community.

Another Chapter in our
Community Giving
We are delighted that Libraries Unlimited South West were the recipient of the Benefact Group Movement for Good Awards. Our Account Executive, Hannah Freeland, went there in March to present them with a cheque for £1,000.
Benefact Group’s Annual Movement for Good Awards gives over £1million away to charities and good causes each year. Members of the public were invited to nominate good causes and winners, including Libraries Unlimited.
With 54 libraries, Libraries Unlimited South West offer far more than just a library service across Devon and Torbay. Their facilities are used for a wide range of community activities, such as reading groups, work clubs, knitting groups, free access to WiFi, cultural events, bounce and rhyme, and more.
A recent initiative, called Libraries for Life, has been launched, whereby they offer a warm space to those who need it, with free winter coats, warm welcoming spaces, and hot drinks, during the colder months. Libraries, like our Community Broking offices, sit within the heart of communities and aim to enrich lives and build thriving communities with each library uniquely tailoring its support to its local community.

Owned by a charity ourselves, charitable giving is at the heart of what we do.”
The not-for-profit group are always looking for help and volunteers to support such vital community spaces, and there are lots of opportunities to volunteer with your local library – ranging from shelving books to facilitating groups – or joining the Home Library Service and taking books to those that cannot leave the house.
Additionally, you can leave a donation to help support these vital community spaces, or you could nominate Libraries Unlimited in the next draw of the Movement for Good awards!

Raising Funds For
Macmillan Coffee Morning
The Community Broking Exeter Team were delighted to get involved with this popular fundraising annual event in October, on behalf of Macmillan Cancer Care. Staff donated cakes, wine and a bottle of rum, and played a ‘Colin the Caterpillar’ game in order to raise funds for this worthy cause. They raised £133 which was then match funded by Benefact, with whom the Community Broking group is proudly partnered, to increase our support of charities and local communities.
