Climbing 3 More Peaks
Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge Supporting The 4N;cky Foundation
A group of us completed the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge: a 24-mile journey covering Pen-y-ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, all within 12 hours!
We took on this challenge to raise funds for The 4N;cky Foundation. A charity which is dedicated to promoting mental health awareness, and supporting those who are struggling with mental health challenges.

A magical time of year
Santa's Grotto
Alongside Faith in Families and The National Autistic Society, we transformed our office into a grotto and invited local families to visit.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us. Your presence, enthusiasm, and generosity helped make the event truly magical, creating lasting memories for all who attended. Whether you volunteered your time, brought your families to enjoy the festivities, or contributed in other meaningful ways, we are deeply appreciative of your involvement.
A special thanks goes to James Murphy and his team at JM Entertainment and Andrew Maunder at AMMCOM LIMITED for transforming our office into a magical grotto, making the experience even more enchanting. Your support played a key role in bringing Christmas cheer to our community.

In the Christmas Spirit of Giving
Packing Christmas Hampers with Faith in Families
Neena, Jackie, Sam and Theresa, visited Faith in Families this week to lend a helping hand in packing Christmas hampers, working alongside the Cwtch Mawr project.
Their efforts were in support of Women’s Aid, spreading festive cheer and contributing to a meaningful cause for women and families in need this holiday season.

Fundraising event for The National Autistic Society
We held a fantastic evening with DWJ Wealth Management Ltd, raising over £1,600, after Benefact Group match funding, for The National Autistic Society (Swansea).
With great company, our very own Ian Bateman’s band performing, and delicious food provided by Swansea Yacht Club, it was a brilliant event!
NAS Swansea are dedicated to helping autistic people and their families in our communities, and we’re proud to donate to such an amazing charity.

Supporting Hands Up For Down's
Chris, Ryan and Darren recently had the pleasure of presenting Eli and Sam from Hands Up For Down’s with a cheque for £6,000.00. A recent charity day we held with Miles Hire raised an amazing £3,000 for the charity. With the help of the Benefact Group this was fund matched.
Hands Up For Down’s is a parent volunteer run Charity which now supports over 60 children with Down Syndrome and their families across the Swansea Bay area.
Their aim is to promote social inclusion by raising awareness and changing perceptions of children and young people with Down’s Syndrome, enabling them to access to the services they require and deserve.
Hands Up For Down’s have said, “We are hugely grateful for the amazing and ongoing support from our Swansea business community, your generosity, kindness and support is astounding – without it we just could not do what we do! THANK YOU”

Supporting Musical memories Choir
Anthony fox, alongside our long-standing client, Alex Diiulio, presented a cheque for £500 to the Musical Memories Choir. The money was raised at our recent music and limoncello tasting night. The money raised was matched funded by our parent company, The Benefact Group.
The Musical Choir was started in 2014 out of a wish to enable people living with dementia and their carers to come together and experience both the many benefits of singing and friendship of others living through similar experiences .
You can join in person every Wednesday at Christwell Church, Manselton or at the Linden Church, Westcross.

The 4N;cky Foundation is committed to supporting the wellbeing in the community by raising funds and awareness around mental health.
We are incredibly proud to have been able to meet and donate to the team, who have inspired us through their story.

Celebrating our rebrand
Open Day Event
We had a brilliant evening celebrating our change of name, in our new office, with valued guests and delicious food.
Paul Short and Chris Mills delivered a presentation about our purpose and our future, and we continued the evening networking with our guests whilst enjoying Food by Sean’s catering.

Climb Every Mountain
3 Peaks Challenge Raises Funds for Faith in Families
In May 2024, This gruelling challenge saw our team in Swansea, climb the three highest mountains in Wales: Yr Wyddfa, Snowdon (1085m), Cadair Idris (893m) and Pen y Fan (886m). Cancer This Research Wales event was very rewarding and our intrepid walkers experienced great views from the three highest peaks and the different mountain ranges in Wales. Starting off in Snowdonia National Park, we were very grateful for support from Days Vehicle Hire, who kindly supplied our transport bus free of charge. Other clients also supported us, acting as our chefs and offering moral support.
Anthony Fox and Neena admitted that parts of the trail were “brutal”, but their efforts were worth is as they raised an amazing £10,000 for Faith in Families. Neena said “It’s the hardest thing I have ever done!”.

Bags of Support
Volunteering for St Thomas Church
Our local church St Thomas, aims to feel like a big family, connecting the community on the East Side of Swansea and beyond. Their food bank and community hub helps people in crisis, providing emergency food and they also provide baby basics, offering support to parents.
In the weeks leading up to Christmas, a team of ours helped to pack over 4,000 blessing bags. These bags consisted of donations of food, sweet treats and toys for their project which supports families in deprived areas, helping those facing challenging circumstances.
With the help of Message Trust, these were delivered to local homes, schools and care homes to boost the Christmas spirit.

Shelter Cymru Win a Movement For Good Award
Being proudly part of the Benefact Group, enables us to better lives and give back to charities and good causes, every year. As a result, Community Broking Swansea were thrilled to present Shelter Cymru (Swansea Branch) with a cheque for £1,000 as part of the Benefact Movement For Good annual programme. Neena Patel and Anthony Fox presented the cheque in November to support Shelter Cymru Wales’s people and homes charity, whose vison is that a decent, secure home is a fundamental right and essential to the health and well-being of communities.
We were very grateful to Stephanie Griffiths and Neil Davies at Shelter Cymru for showing us all the great work that they do and which we are glad to support.
Movement for Good aims to give over £1 million in 2024 and anyone can get involved and nominate up til 19th December 2024. Thanking supporters in Wales, Mark Hews, Group CEO of Benefact, said: “We have seen a fantastic public response to our Movement for Good awards. It’s clear that people care deeply about good causes in their region”.

Swansea M.A.D. Win a Movement For Good Award
Swansea M.A.D really do live up to their name- they Make A Difference! They aim to promote social justice and equality and work with young people and communities to minimise poverty, discrimination and oppression. They support youngsters with aspects such as support with IT and job applications and using music as therapy. Our Personal Lines Team Leader, Neena, has volunteered with this charity in the past.
We were delighted that they received a Benefact Movement for Good Award of £1,000 and Neena Patel and Anthony Fox presented them with this cheque. Anthony shared “We had a great time and learning experience about M.A.D which left us inspired to contribute even more to their causes in future. It was truly uplifting”

A Walk on the Wild Side
The Gower Coastal walk was Britain’s first area of outstanding natural beauty and was a fitting scenic venue for the Duke of Edinburgh sponsored walk in September 2023. Three members of the Community Broking Swansea team, Neena, Jackie and Ben, joined in with this event, supporting Swansea Business Club who also took part.
The walk offered 10 or 22 mile options along the spectacular Gower coast in South-West Wales. The weather was kind reaching 26 degrees Celsius making fundraising for Macmillan cancer Support even more of a enjoyable activity.

Getting Down & Dirty For Charity
The Swansea Pretty Muddy 5K, in July 2023, saw Jackie and Keri climb, crawl and slide their way around the Pretty Muddy® obstacle course in Swansea, which presented them with some mixed terrain, scattered with obstacles. As part of the Race for Life range of events, they were was keen to support fundraising for Cancer Research UK, and Jackie also supported Macmillan Cancer, a charity close to her heart.

On Our Bikes For St Thomas Church
Ian and Anthony enlisted pedal power at Ride London in May 2023, cycling 103 miles over three days, travelling around London and Essex. They raised a staggering £6,782, including match funding by Benefact Group, for St Thomas’ Church. This enabled us to send a cheque to support St Thomas Church projects such as their food bank and other community projects.
